Science, methodology and scientific evidence

Quantum Lab® scientific activity is based on peer-reviewed research, documented experimental development and national and international academic collaboration.
This section organizes our research lines and scientific publications that support our methodological framework in cellular biotechnology.

Our Scientific Approach

We work in clinical biotechnology under a structured framework of three levels of evidence: in vitro studies, in vivo validation and early clinical signals.
Based on this scheme, we design protocols under explicit criteria of safety, eligibility and objective follow-up.

We do not extrapolate findings out of context or communicate benefits without verifiable scientific support.
Operational details are protected under clinical confidentiality, without affecting traceability and transparency of results.

Lines of Research

Biomaterials and Tissue Microenvironments

We develop and validate bioactive scaffolds and functionalized surfaces (PCL/PLGA, chitosan, 3D textiles and composites) that replicate extracellular matrix properties.
We evaluate cell adhesion, osteogenesis, angiogenesis and biocompatibility using in vitro and in vivo models prior to any clinical transition.

Immunometabolism and Standardized Phytoactives

We evaluate bioactive extracts with certified analytical purity and documented traceability, analyzing their impact on markers of oxidative stress, systemic inflammation and metabolic parameters.
Clinical integration is considered only when there is sufficient experimental support and its scope and limitations are communicated.

Biosensors, Bioimpedance and Precision Medicine

We apply electrical bioimpedance, QCM-D and gene expression panels to quantify biological processes and monitor response under objective criteria.
These tools complement, but do not replace, clinical judgment.

Cell Biology and Immune Modulation

We studied the interaction between progenitor cells and the immune environment, including macrophage dynamics and osteogenic pathways such as BMP-2 and RUNX2.
All exploration is performed under evaluation of biocompatibility, safety and functionality in preclinical models prior to any clinical application.

Immunogenetics and Compatibility

We analyze histocompatibility markers (HLA) and other immunogenetic determinants that guide decisions related to compatibility and eligibility. These analyses support the clinical strategy, but do not in themselves constitute a therapeutic indication.

Academic and Institutional Collaborations

We participate in joint projects with universities and research centers that allow us to validate methodologies in external environments, guarantee reproducibility and maintain independent review.
These collaborations strengthen transparency and ensure that each advance is developed under standards comparable to international academic research. Collaboration agreement in force with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

Ethical and institutional support with UNAM - QUANTUM LAB

Scientific publications and evidence base

The publications included document methods, experimental results and preclinical validations developed by team members and academic collaborators. Not all publications directly evaluate interventions that are integrated into the clinical setting. Findings should not be extrapolated outside their methodological context.

Biomaterials and tissue microenvironments.

We design and validate bioactive scaffolds and functionalized surfaces (PCL/PLGA, chitosan, composites and 3D textiles) that act as microhabitats for tissue repair. This line integrates material synthesis, physicochemical characterization and biological evaluation (adhesion, osteogenesis, angiogenesis and biocompatibility), with peer-reviewed publications and objective performance metrics.

Immunometabolism and bioactives

We study standardized bioactive compounds (e.g. Sechium extracts and dairy derivatives such as sodium caseinate) and their relationship with oxidative stress, inflammation, telomere dynamics and metabolic control. This axis combines in vitro, in vivo and early clinical trials to understand how these agents modulate immunometabolic pathways and contribute to more stable biological microenvironments.

Biosensors, bioimpedance and precision medicine

We apply electrical and molecular measurement technologies (bioimpedance, QCM-D, gene panels and gene expression) to quantify biological processes such as inflammation and oxidative stress and to monitor responses to interventions. This axis connects instrumentation, signal analysis and early clinical validation in areas such as diabetes, infections, infertility and neurodegeneration.

Cell biology and immune modulation

We investigate how different stimuli-hormonal, nutraceutical and biomedical materials-regulate key cellular pathways (macrophages, oxidative stress, osteogenesis) and cell-material interactions. We combine in vitro assays, in vivo studies and expression analysis to identify markers of safety, viability and differentiation in human cells (e.g. MSCs), as well as immunomodulatory effects with translational potential.

Immunogenetics and compatibility

We analyze histocompatibility markers (HLA) and other immunogenetic determinants to support safe decisions on compatibility, donor selection and eligibility criteria. This line links HLA typing, population registries and standardized technical documentation with clinical applications where the immune response is critical.
