Q.F.B. Bernardo José de Santiago León

Bernardo José de Santiago León is a Pharmacobiological Chemist graduated from the University of Guadalajara, with experience in biotechnology, molecular diagnostics, clinical analysis and teaching in exact and biological sciences. His career combines practice in molecular biology, physicochemical and clinical laboratories with the academic training of students at different educational levels.

During her university studies, she completed an internship at the State Center of Public Health Laboratories (CEESLAB) in the area of mycobacteria culture, as well as social service in the Direction of the Pharmacobiological Chemist career at CUCEI. Her work included the implementation of quality control methodologies, participation in cervical cancer prevention programs and certification under ISO 9001:2008 standards.

His research experience includes a project in the Center for Research and Assistance in Technological Development of the State of Jalisco (CIATEJ), where he participated in the development of a Multiplex PCR for molecular diagnosis of brucellosis, presented at the XIII International Congress Advances in Medicine and awarded second place in the X Free Poster Paper Competition. He has also presented papers at national and international congresses on pharmacology, drugs in the environment and climate change.

Throughout his career he has complemented his training with diplomas and courses in areas such as excellence in clinical laboratory processes (Tecnológico de Monterrey), neurosciences (CUCBA), clinical biochemistry, hemostasis, flow cytometry and civil protection in laboratories.

In the professional field, he has worked as:

  • Clinical laboratory chemist certified by the Joint Commission International.
  • Specialist in molecular diagnostics for public health programs.
  • Teacher in biology, chemistry and research methodology in junior high, high school and intensive high school.
  • Technical advisor and sales executive of specialized equipment for clinical and research laboratories.

Currently, in Quantum Lab, contributes its expertise in quality control, process validation and regulatory compliance to ensure product reliability and traceability, especially in the cellular biotechnology and advanced diagnostics lines.
